We do what we can, with what we've got, from where we are.

Does this sound familiar to you? I hope so. Because these words of wisdom have helped me greatly over the last few years.
In 2021, my wife and I left our home country of Canada to pursue a new life in Central America. We bought land, built a greenhouse, installed a well and will soon move into our newly constructed home. However, trying to navigate through the international financial bureaucracy wasn’t easy. I also needed to establish a new career and develop a dedicated website. Doing all this in a foreign language certainly did not help matters. Occasionally I reached the ‘overwhelm’ stage.
Unfortunately, the 5PH website and maintaining this Substack blog had to take a back seat at times. I even had to stop practicing Tai Chi until I could get ahead of things.
We do what we can, with what we’ve got, from where we are.
I make no excuses and neither should you. When life gets difficult, the plan should be to put one foot in front of the other and forge ahead, and yes it’s painful. But somewhere along the way taking a wee break, perhaps recalculating, then getting on with the tasks at hand is the message here.
It’s all about progress, not perfection. Things may even get messy for a bit and thats OK. 5 Pillar Health understands this absolutely. My personal mantra is that I lead by example, so when my own Blog posts are not as regular as planned, or business dynamics are sprouting seeds of doubt, I’ll Aikido it - and step aside from the feelings of guilt. The only thing guilt, or regret, or looking back does, is keep us from moving forward.
And lets not lose sight of the fact that your Health is and always has been number one. Our physical health is the base from which all other health modalities (mental, emotional, spiritual & financial) are built from. Nothing gets past this.
My job here at 5 Pillar Health is to keep saying the same thing ten thousand different ways. (Healthy people are harder to control). I’m passionate about this, and created a business dedicated to helping others, serving community, and solving real human problems. How lucky am I? For those individuals who really want to understand why they are not getting ahead, and why they keep making poor decisions over and over again, I will be starting the one-on-one self sabotage Coaching sessions in June this year.
If you are anything like me and find yourself mentally swamped or physically burdened at times, please remember that you are working perfectly as designed (by God) and it’s OK to take a moment to regroup. We do what we can, with what we’ve got, from where we are.
Our business at 5 Pillar Health is your health and well-being.
I write a short post every few weeks, each one only a few minutes to read. If you would like to know more about any aspect of 5PH, then please email me at: Andy@5pillarhealth.com

Andrew, your new gym looks like it's going to be amazing. How exciting for you.
The Gym has been a bucket list item for me as long as I can remember. Resistance training is so important, it's nice to have onsite. Thank you for your comment.
